Boring faithfulness is still faithfulness
Nobody is going to celebrate your twelfth quiet Tuesday in a row. God is not nobody.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”

We have a language problem in the church. We have a hundred words for breakthrough and almost none for maintenance. So when a believer enters a long, unspectacular season of just doing the next right thing, they assume something has gone wrong.
Nothing has gone wrong. That is the majority of the Christian life. Jesus worked in a shop until He was thirty. That is roughly eighteen years of undocumented obedience for three years of ministry. If the ratio was fine for Him, I can survive a slow August.
The problem is we grade ourselves on highlight footage — ours and everyone else's. And highlight footage is, by definition, the two percent. Comparing your Tuesday to somebody's mountaintop is not humility. It is bad math.
Small faithfulness compounds in ways you cannot feel in real time. The prayer you said this morning does not feel like anything. Two thousand of them change who you are. You will never be able to point to the one that did it, which is exactly why hype cannot sell it to you.
So do the boring thing today. Show up for the person nobody is watching you serve. Read the chapter that does not hit. Keep the promise that has stopped being exciting.
That is not a lesser faith. That is the whole thing.
